Hi Everyone… And the new launches continue. How even Realme keeps track of their new models? Just few day after launching their Realme 7 Pro and Realme 7 models, again Realme has again launched under their sub-brand in the Narzo series, the Realme Narzo 20 Pro priced at Rs.14999/- (6BG and 64GB). Not only this they have also launched Narzo 20A and Narzo 20 the lighter versions.
Still confused about this strategy of Realme of launching smartphone with almost similar specs with different names with span of few day. They seems to with competing with oneself (like main khud se pyar karo, wat’s my name, wat’s my name…..Realme…..). Lets find about about Realme Narzo 20 Pro, which is almost identical to Realme 7 and a lighter version for Realme 7 Pro.
Build and Design
Realme Narzo 20 Pro made of polycarbonate body and first impression is good built quality. The front glass has 3D Gorilla glass protection and comes with side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The camera bump is fixed in the left top corner having quad camera set up. Back panel has a V-shaped design pattern. The phones weighs around 191 g.
There is single firing speakers at bottom and mic , but no secondary mic on top for noise cancellation. A usual type-C port for fast charging.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro will be available in two color options of Ninja Black and White Night. Yup you read it right. Fancy names.
Display
Realme Narzo 20 Pro comes with LCD panel of 16.51 cm (6.5 inch), 2400 x 1080 Pixels Full HD+ resolution and has Widevine L1 certification. Although no Super AMOLED display here as Realme 7 Pro, but it comes with the 90 Hz display similar to Realme 7 and that’s really good.
Camera
In camera section , Realme Narzo 20 Pro comes with 48 MP Quad camera, which comes with a 48 MP Primary lens, 8MP 119° Ultra wide-angle lens, 2MP Portrait lens and a 2MP 4-cm Macro lens.
It can record 4k video and Slow Motion video 1080P at 120 fps, 720P at 240 fps, EIS Support recording. The camera UI is clean and customs options available. There is usual camera software features of Super Nightscape, Panorama, Portrait Mode, Time-lapse Photography, HDR, Ultra Wide, Ultra Macro, AI Scene Recognition, AI Beauty, Filter, Chroma Boost.
The front camera is a decent single selfie camera of 16 megapixel sensor with EIS Support and shots Slow Motion: 1080P at 120 fps.
Processor, Storage and Performance
For processor Realme has gone ahead with Helio G95 Gaming Processor (same as Realme 7) Octa core clocked at 2.05 GHz. Keeping gamers in mind this Realme Narzo 20 Pro comes equipped with Carbon Fiber cooling system that claims to delivers an 8.6% increase in cooling performance and by that the Realme Narzo 20 Pro ensures that you keep performing at full speed.
In RAM, you can have choice of 6 GB or 8GB. The internal storage support of 128GB GB can be expanded upto 256 GB with the help of dedicated micro SD slot. You can accommodate two nano sims and a micro SD card and that’s convenient.
Operating System/ Software
Realme Narzo 20 Pro runs on Realme UI v1.0 (Based on Android 10). There are some ads running by default, but you can disable them.
Battery
Like the Realme 7 Pro, this smartphone also comes with their latest 4500 mAh battery and the Superfast 65 W charge, which can go from 0 to 100 in just about 38 minutes. No complains here.
Connectivity and Network
There is support dual VolTe with all usual connectivity options. NFC and Bluetooth version 5.0 support is also there and can offer good call quality.
Conclusion
Looking at all the above specification, this is a good value for money package at Rs.14999/- with a 90 Htz display. But the point to ponder is , there are many options available from Realme itself around this segment. This new smartphone is in direct competition to Realme 7 and can easily be called “Lite” version of Realme 7 Pro.
So, if you could afford Realme 7 Pro at Rs.19999/- go for it for a better display, better camera and better processor and if your budget is tight 15k then this Realme Narzo 20 Pro is a good proposition, which you can give a try.
