So, after series of teasers and interview and leaks, Micromax has finally made the much awaited comeback in Indian smartphone market, with launch of their new models Micromax IN Note 1 & IN 1b with starting price of Rs.10999/- and Rs.6999/- respectively. This is definitely a make or break moment for the Indian Brand.

This is a nostalgic moment for lot’s of Indian smartphone users including me, as Micromax once used to be our first smartphone in early 2010’s with unique features in budget price. They actually started this value-for-money concept. More & more features in low budgets. They used to be the No-1 smartphone brand back then beating the likes of Samsung and Nokia. Their Canvas series was huge hit. It is important here to mention that back then, they actually sold rebranded Chinese phone.

But came 2013-14 and Xiaomi entered Indian Market with it’s Mi3 and Redmi 1S and changed the market forever. It beat Micromax in it’s own game and provided best features and specification in lowest rates through online market. Since then Micromax started to decline and almost out of market from last few years. Since then lots of new player, Realme, Oppo, Vivo and along with big players Samsung are now competing in this tough market.

But from the last few months a need for Indian Brand as emerged in the smartphone segment and the company is very much trying to fill that gap and same can be seen from the advertisement tag line “Cheeni Kam”. Now Micromax is trying to make a comeback with Micromax IN Note 1 & IN 1b.

Coming to the new smartphones i.e Micromax IN Note 1 priced at Rs.10,999 (4GB+64GB) and Micromax IN Note 1b priced at Rs.10,999 (2GB+32GB) are really exciting options. Lets check out the specification of both the models.

As per specification , Micromax IN Note 1 is a good offering from Micromax. It has covered all points and tried to provide a value for money product at this price point. Important here to mention that , Micromax has also promised to provide at least 2 years of software updates along with a ad free user interface. The user interface is also pure stock android, which is another plus point.

Micromax IN Note 1 with its MediaTek Helio G85 be in direct competition with Redmi 9 Prime, Realme 5i and Realme Narzo 20 which are almost at similar price point and specification. It will be a tough fight and IN Note 1 has all the features to be user choice. It will be early to decide on the overall performance and user response and after sales & service by Micromax, but at least on paper, we have a new choice in the market.
